Perhaps equally as important as their performance on guest tables, in bar arrangements, cocktail vases and bouquets is where your flowers go after the party is over. Over the years I have developed strong partnerships with local flower farmers who practice sustainable growing methods so that green goods recycling companies can responsibly compost all of your flowers, and flower up-cycling organizations can safely give your flowers a second life in women & children's hospitals, shelters for the homeless and other worthy causes who welcome the gift of beauty. These post-event recycling services are a part of my business practice and are included in every design proposal I create.
I grew up surrounded by women for whom digging in the dirt was the ultimate form of self expression and creating a garden was the ultimate form of self love. Many summer days of my childhood and into my twenties were spent with my beloved grandmother, first following and then learning from her as she made arrangements from everything she grew in her garden. My memories of her hands, so carefully and confidently placing each stem are my most constant inspiration.
Your idea of luxury is having the time to actually experience your wedding day with your love, your family and your friends. You measure your wealth in the genuine smiles on the faces of your guests. You value the thousands of goosebumps that rise on your arms when you walk down the aisle far more than thousands of social media impressions. I'm so glad we've found each other.
