LATE SPRING WORKSHOP

  • BLOOMCOURT FARM 348 Whippoorwill Road Chappaqua, NY, 10514 United States (map)

Join Kim and Madeline at Bloomcourt Farm in beautiful Chappaqua, NY for a full day surrounded by magical local, seasonal flowers.

Begin the morning with a tour of the courts where Madeline has curated the most special varieties of seasonal blooms. During the tour you Will be able to cut a few special stems to incorporate into your design work.

Following the tour, Kim will demonstrate her signature style of whimsical yet intentional design in a centerpiece. Take what you’ve learned and create your own design in a custom compote designed exclusively for Mary Stuart Flowers by Connecticut ceramicist DBO Home. Each piece is hand stamped with John Robshaw block print designs and glazed using indigo pigment.

Attendees will then break for a group lunch at tables set with their own centerpiece creations.

After lunch, Kim will demonstrate her method of creating a hand tied bridal bouquet. Attendees will then each create their own, finishing their designs with plant dyed organic silk made by local New York artisan Silk and Willow.

The entirety of the workshop will be photographed by renowned expert wedding photographer Ashley Noelle Edwards. Ashley is an internationally recognized photographer who resides between Northern California and Cork, Ireland. Ashley’s expertise is film photography and her unique, emotional style has earned recommendations from Vogue and Tatler’s prestigious wedding guide. In 2021 Ashley was awarded runner up International Garden Photographer of the Year. Her work has appeared in print and online in ten countries and we are so excited to have her share her beautiful art with us.

All of Ashley’s photos, including individual images of each attendee’s designs will be available for use on social media and websites following the workshop.
